Imam Husain (A.S.) said: We the household of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) are happy and pleased with what is pleasing to Allah. (Kashf al-Ghumma: 2/241)

Imam al-Sadiq (A.S.) said: Do not be idle in earning your living. Our fathers were eagerly working to earn their living. (Al-Faqih, 3/157/3576)

Imam Reza (A.S.) said: We belong to a family that, like the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.), feels obliged to keep their promises. (Tuhaf al-Uqool: 446)

Imam al-Sadiq (A.S.) said: Whoever oppresses the people is not among our followers. (Tuhaf al-Uqool: 303)

Imam al-Sadiq (A.S.) said: Attract people [to your religion] by things other than tongues [i.e., by your actions]. (Al-Kafi: 2/78/14)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: You shall be questioned concerning my family after me. (Al-Mojam al-Kabeer: 4/192/4111)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever likes to grip a strong handhold should cling to the friendship of Ali (A.S.) and my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.). (Kamil uz-Ziyarat: 51)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Love and devotion to me and my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) make one immune from the Hell Fire. (Amali Saduq: 383/ 8)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever would be kind to a member of my family, I shall recompense it on the Resurrection Day. (Al-Kafi: 4/60/ 8)

Imam al-Baqir (A.S.) said: Verily remembering us [equals] remembering Allah and remembering our enemy is like remembering Satan. (Al-Kafi: 2/492/2)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: The faith would not be completed unless it be accompanied by the love of Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.). (Kifayah al-Asar: 110)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Loving my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) removes sins and doubles good actions. (Amali al-Tusi: 164/274)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Loving me and my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.), is [the sign of] completion of faith. (Amali Saduq: 1/161)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: The steadfast one on “the Sirat” is a person who loves my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) most. (Kanz al-Ummal: 12/97/34163)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever would love Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) for the sake of Allah, will be grouped with us and we shall take him to Paradise with us. (Kifayah al-Asar: 296)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Only the illegitimate ones, would feel enmity toward us. (Amali Saduq: 14/384)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever harbors enmity to Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) is a hypocrite. (Tafsir al-Durr al-Mansur: 7/349)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever is the enemy of my Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) will not see me on the Day of Judgment. I will not see him either. (Amali Saduq: 7/372)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Whoever willingly surrenders to Abjectness, is not of us. (Tuhaf al-Uqool: 5 8)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: Is not of us the one who treats a Muslim with fraudulence and cheating. (Ayun Akhbar al-Reza (A.S.): 3/273/3986)

Imam al-Sadiq (A.S.) said: He is not counted as our Shia who gives us lip service, and acts contrary to our conduct. (Mishkat al-Anwaar: 70)

Imam Ali (A.S.) said: With us are the keys to knowledge, the doors of wisdom, the clarity of the events, and the sound judgment. (Al-Mahasin: 1/316/629)

Imam al-Sadiq (A.S.) said: Our Shias are chaste, hardworking, loyal, trustworthy, and austere. (Sifat ush-Shia: 1/81)

Imam Reza (A.S.) said: The Imams are Allah the Almighty’s vicegerents on the earth. (Al-Kafi: 1/193/1)

Imam Reza (A.S.) said: Describing the Imam: He is the guardian of the Divine Faith. (Al-Kafi: 1/202/1)

Imam Husayn (A.S.) said: We are the household of dignity, the Mine of Prophethood, and the signs of the Truth, which Allah Has trusted to us. (Amali Saduq: 1/130)

The Holy Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said: We are a family with whom no one can be compared. (Faraid al-Samtyn: 45/1)

“Having the Greatness of the Creator in your mind would make you realize the insignificance of the creatures in your view.”

Imam Baqir, the fifth Imam, (a.s) said:

” There are ten things that when a person meets Allah, the Almighty and Glorious, with them, he will enter Heaven: 1. Confessing that there is no god besides Allah, 2. And that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. 3. Acknowledging what has come down to the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) from Allah (the Qur’an). 4. Establighing regular prayers. 5. Giving alms. 6. Fasting in Ramadan. 7. Performing the Pilgrimage (Hajj) to the Sacred House. 8. Kindness to the lovers of Allah. 9. Detachment from the enemies of Allah. 10. And, avoiding any alcoholic beverage.”

” At the (appointed) time of every prayer (salat), I hear a caller who calls and says:` O children of Adam! keep up prayers in order to extinguish the fire you have lit against yourselves (by committing sins).”

Abi-Osamah said that he had heard that Imam Sadiq (a.s) said:

” Be aware of (the punishment of) Allah, piety, godly endeavor, saying the truth, honesty in deposition, good character, and good neighbourliness. Invite (others) to yourselves (by performing good actions), not with mere utterance. Live to be ornaments, and not to be disgrace of us. (I advise you) to prolong the length of bowing and prostration. So, verily, when one of you prolongs bowing and prostration, Satan cries from behind one and says: Woe! he obeyed and I disobeyed; he did prostration and I refused.”

” Surely, human beings from the time of Adam up to now are the same as the teeth of a comb are, and there is no superiority for the Arab over non-Arab or for the red race over the black race except for piety.”

Imam Muhammad Baqir (a.s) told Jabir:

” Is it enough for a person to (merely) embellish (oneself) as a Shi`ah (follower) by professing love of us, Ahlul-Bayt? Nay! By Allah, a person is not our follower except the one who fears Allah and obeys Him. O’ Jabir! Our followers are not recognized save by humility; submission; honesty; praising Allah abundantly; fasting and prayers; filial devotion; attending to the poor, needy, debtors, and orphans who live near him; saying the truth; reciting the Qur’an; withholding the tongue from people except for benediction; and being trustworthy for relatives in any affairs…”
